General Icon Questions:

1. How many icons do you usually make?

In the case of a PB with a lot of high quality pictures, I make around 100 icons per set. If you request someone with a lack of decent pictures, I'll make as many as I can find. I tend to make less icons when the PB does not have a fansite. I don't like searching through Google all day.

2. How long does it take you to make icons?

It depends on my schedule. Sometimes it takes a few hours, and sometimes a few days.

3. I like your iconing style. Can you tell me how you do it?

No. Sorry. I don't really have any good excuse for this, I just want to keep this one to myself. I will always be available for tips or graphic help, but I will not tell you exactly how I alter my pictures. Additionally, each picture is new in terms of lighting and saturation, so I don't actually have a set process to get my graphics to look the way they do.

4. Your iconing style could use improvement. Can I tell you what I don't like about your graphics?

While gentle suggestions can be nice (sometimes), I'm going to go ahead and say no. Why? Because I have a way I like things to look, and it's easier to just to make everything look the same way as opposed to changing something for one person. Also? I'm probably going to get offended. There are tons of icon makers on this server. If you don't like something about my style, you're always free to check my affiliates.

5. Can I alter your icons?

Not without permission, please. Contact me if you'd like to change my icons in some way. I'll give you the yes or no and tell you how to credit with the changes.


Icon Request Questions:

1. How do I request icons?

Go HERE. If requests are open, you may place a request. If they are closed, you'll have to wait until they are open.

2. Your request post confuses me. How do I know if requests are closed?

Check the title of the post, and see the disclaimer at the bottom. There will be comments on the request post that I have not replied to because I am working on their sets. When I finish icon sets, I link the person that requested.

3. Your icon requests are never open when I look! Can I ask you in advance to add someone to the list when they're open again?

No. Don't do this, please. It angers me. I would feel as though I'm never catching up if people did this, and things would get overwhelming. My requests are closed most of the time, and only open for a few hours when I do open them. I understand this is frustrating, but it's for my own sanity. I only enjoy icon making when I have a small list on the go.

4. Do you know when your requests will be open again?

I could give you an estimate, but I never know for sure. I make icons when I have time, and when I get swamped, things take longer. My best advice is to check my journal when I'm getting closer to finishing the list.

5. Can I ask you to contact me when requests are open?

Yes, but there's no guarantee that I'll remember to notify you because a lot of people ask me to do this. Also, if you're not online when I open them, you're probably going to miss them anyway.

6. How many PBs can I request at once?

Two. I used to allow more, but since I only take a small number of names at once, it was unfair to other people.

7. Can I request icons of my PB at a specific event?

Yes!

8. Can I send you a folder of pictures I want iconed?

Yes. In fact, I usually prefer it. However, keep in mind that I want good quality pictures. Example: THIS IS a good quality picture, and THIS IS NOT. One will produce a good looking icon, and one will not. I'm not a miracle worker, so I will probably skip the LQ pictures sent to me and just make icons of the pictures that work.

9. There aren't a lot of pictures of this person I want to PB. Can I request them anyway?

I would prefer it if you didn't. I don't like searching for an hour to come up with ten low quality pictures.

10. Can I request someone that has already been iconed?

Yes, but there's a catch. You either have to specify the events that you'd like iconed, or you'll have to send me a folder of the pictures you want. I don't like going through my old posts and trying to figure out the pictures I haven't saved yet. It makes me a sad panda.


Banner Questions:

1. I want a banner post. Can I ask for one?

Not directly. You can vote for your PB HERE or you can link me to a picture in the request post and I will make a banner just for you. Banner posts take me as long as icon sets do, so I save those for special occasions. While you're allowed 100 icons in IJ, there is only so many spots you can put a banner. That's my reasoning, anyway. So! Request a banner in the request post, and I'll hook you up. The 'contest banner posts' are more so people can see a bunch of pictures of their favourite PBs in one spot.

2. When are your banner requests open?

Always.

3. What banners styles do you make?

They're simple. I can do three pictures in one, and I can sometimes add text. I wouldn't advise asking me for text, though. I'm really not that good at it.

4. What quality of picture do you want linked for banners?

At least 600px in width and 400px in height, usually. That's this size. If you don't know the width of the picture you're viewing, right click on the picture and click 'Properties'. When posting your comment, check the link. If you're getting it directly off of a fansite, I often cannot see the picture you're linking. You might have to save the picture and upload it to a different location (such as tinypic) for me. In terms of quality, anything too dark or choppy is not going to look great.

5. Can I alter your banners?

Generally no. If you would like to, please contact me first. I don't like finding my banners cut in half on people's journals.

2. How do I credit banners?

Mention that soconvinced made your banner somewhere in the userinfo.

3. Do I really have to credit?

I can't force you to. If I come across your journal and you're not crediting, I'll ask you to please credit. It's really just a common courtesy thing, in my opinion, and it irritates me beyond belief when people refuse to.

4. What are you really going to do if I don't credit?

Nothing. I'm going to ask you once, and if you give me attitude, I'm going to back off because you're obviously a massive JERK.


Friending Questions:

1. Can I friend you with more than one journal?

Yep! That's fine.

2. My journal is personal. I don't want to keep you friended, but I want to see your icons. What do I do?

Make a puppet journal and friend me. Or make a friends filter. I like to keep my list clean, and I remove those who have unfriended me. If you unfriend me, I'll unfriend you back.

3. Why do you f-lock your journal? Do you think you're super elite or something?

No. I pretty much do it because I can. I like having the power to remove people from my list and I feel as though I'm getting some sort of positive feedback when people want to view my icons.


Miscellaneous:

1. I found someone not crediting your icons. What should I do?

You can tell me, or ask them yourself. Or you can ignore it. I'll probably come across the journal sooner or later anyway and ask them to credit.

2. Do you care if I comment when I'm taking your icons?

You don't have to, but I do appreciate it. My replies to comments are usually short and generic, but trust me! I appreciate the feedback.

3. I suddenly cannot comment to your journal! What happened?

You have broken my rules in some way, or you have in other ways disrupted my journal, so I have banned you from commenting. Please don't take this personally. I want things to run smoothly on here, and because my f-list is kind of large, everyone needs to try to read and understand the way I like things done. When banned from commenting, you can still collect icons and look through my posts.

4. I need to get in contact with you. How should I do that?

Comment here or PM me. I'm spacey on AIM, so that's probably the best way.

5. You didn't answer my question! What do I do?

Comment! It will be screened.
